{Publican of the Sword and Chalice}
If any character could be called a Rogue, the Publican of the Sword and Chalice Tavern is that person. Always careful of his own reputation and wellbeing, he is far less than careful of the reputations and wellbeing of others - "It's their lookout isn't it?". He is willing to lend anything to anyone (at a fee), help anyone in trouble (for a consideration) and will do anyone a favour (in exchange for a favour later). His ability to skirt the law is legendary (well within the town) and unsuspecting visitors will always find him able to put them on their feet after an unfortunate mugging or drunken miss-adventure.
Should the customers require any service, this person can usually find something or someone that can supply it. Should they fancy a gamble, he can find someone to take their money. And if they want to get royally drunk, well...at least they'll wake-up (poorer and sometimes wiser).
