The Morgan Core (or MC) may have been intended to launch us toward the stars, but instead it might open some other doors. Created by Dr. Freya Morgan, the MC was intended to aid in making FTL travel possible, but instead it seems to be.... -From a document found in the wreckage of Timeline B

The Morgan Core (or MC) was destroyed by it's creator, Dr. Freya Morgan. Investigation on this incident is ongoing. Dr Morgan insists that there were otherworldly reasons behind her actions. Security footage of the event is as corrupted as all footage of the device seems to be. Before Dr. Morgan could be taken into custody for her destruction of Revelation Limited property, she has gone missing. -A report on the destruction of the Morgan Core, 2027

Revelation Limited hired a team of scientists to aid them in their pursuit of interstellar travel and reaching FTL speeds. Dr. Freya Morgan, a physicist known for her theories regarding the speed of light and how it might be manipulated, headed the creation of the Morgan Core. Unfortunately, the MC was not able to be put into use and all record of how it was created has been destroyed by an unknown person, heavily suspected to be Dr. Morgan
Revelation Limited laments the fact that their goal to reach the stars has been set back in such a manner and promise that this will not be the end of the MC or the FTL project.

Utility

Its intended use was to aid in FTL travel by breaking through the lightspeed limit. Its actual use was something else. The actual effects of the MC are not well documented, though some of those who had seen it work claimed to have witnessed "doorways" or "portals" though such claims have no documented evidence at this time.
