C0.5-S1- Coinpurse Keep

Recap Campaign 0.5- The Rising Storm Session 1- Coinpurse Keep
In the city of Breck, a faction is growing. While the world waits in anticipation, this group of resistance fighters is growing their numbers in preparation for the coming storm. This faction wields a banner of a sword rising against the sun, a clear declaration against Meridia and the Crusade. With a wealthy patron and a charismatic figurehead, this resistance has grown from a handful to over a hundred volunteers and even more supporters.
It is here in Breck, and in the Silkie's Song, where we find Quinn the Paladin and Sincade the Blood Cleric. They have a mutual path together. Quinn called upon the people to aid the resistance. While most joined, a young Orc by the name of Samara found herself pulled and fully devoted to both Quinn' cause and Sincade himself. (Loyalty 3, Protector 3, Warrior 2) The three of them listened to the plea of Gareth Pené'Pichar who asked them to help reclaim the lost Coinpurse Keep a day's travel from Breck. They departed and bore witness to the ruined keep as it stood atop the cliffs overlooking one of Heroeca's Great Lakes.
Samara, carrying Sincade, and Quinn scaled the cliffs up to the ancient keep. Samara scouted ahead inside the sleeping keep while Sincade and Quinn entered through the main gate. The few bandits that were still awake were quickly dispatched by the three heroes. As they approached the Bandit Chief, Sincade overheard a conversation between the chief and his right hand. Clarence, the half-elven mage and advisor, warned that their men won't survive much longer in the keep, but Craig, the recently blighted leader, dismissed the concern as they *needed* to get into the vault below the Keep. The Vault was arcanely sealed with documents stating that only one key was made to open the vault. Craig would not leave the keep until he could get into the vault and acquire a alleged cure for the sickness in his blood.
It is here that Quinn, followed by the other two, marched in the audience hall. Their conversations led into a hole where neither side would budge. Sincade convinced Clarence to stand down, but Craig drew his serrated blade and charged Quinn. Sincade and Samara fought the remaining bandit in the hall while Quinn took on Craig. Quinn landed a devastating blow that seemed to kill Craig instantly, but as Craig was thrown, his horns grew and he turned into an Elder Blight, fully devoting his soul to Vesipius. With this newfound power, Craig was easily able to overpower Quinn and land a lethal blow. As he bled out, Craig turned to eviscerate Sincade and Samara.
As Quinn was dying, he found himself infront of the Black Gates of Sheol. Lathandor spoke and beckoned Quinn to accept his death, as is the natural order. Instead Quinn cried out that there was more that he needed to do, that the people of Heroeca needed him. It is then that a manifestation of Beacon answered his call. In exchange for a second chance, Quinn must devote himself to Beacon and it's Divine Mission.
Life once more entered Quinn's lungs. As he rose, his halberd gained the radiant essence of the Nightbreaker. Wielding the Artifact of Beacon, Quinn skewered Craig and saved Samara and Sincade. With the last power of the Nightbreaker, Quinn placed the Mark of Sanctuary on Coinpurse Keep, now a place of protection from tyranny
