Description
Gineca is an elite assassin, striking only when the time is perfect. She relies on stealth, staying in the shadows and using Shadow Step for ambush positioning. She always goes for the kill—if she can assassinate someone with Death Strike, she will. If combat turns against her, she escapes using Smoke and Shadows or Silent Step. She avoids fair fights, preferring one-on-one duels in the dark or ambushing isolated targets.
Suggested Environments
Urban
Silent Stalker. Gineca has advantage on Stealth checks and can attempt to hide when lightly obscured. She makes no sound when moving, even in armor.
Assassinate. During the first round of combat, Gineca has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn. Any hit she scores against a surprised creature is a critical hit.
Evasion. When making a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage, she instead takes no damage if she succeeds, and half damage if she fails.
Uncanny Dodge. When an attacker Gineca can see hits her with an attack, she can halve the damage.
Sneak Attack (1/Turn). Gineca deals an extra 28 (8d6) damage when she hits a target with a finesse weapon and has advantage on the attack roll, or when another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it.
Cold-Blooded, Fire-Born. Gineca is immune to the effects of extreme heat and cold.
Breath Weapon (Recharge 5-6). Gineca exhales in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (13d6) fire or cold damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.
Actions
Multiattack. Gineca makes three melee attacks.
Twin Daggers. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (1d8 + 6) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) poison damage.
Draconic Fang (Bite). Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 6) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) cold damage.
Death Strike (1/Short Rest). If Gineca hits a surprised creature, they must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be reduced to 0 hit points instantly. On a success, they take an extra 35 (10d6) poison damage instead.
Bonus Actions
Shadow Step (Bonus Action). If Gineca is in dim light or darkness, she can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space she can see that is also in dim light or darkness. Her next attack this turn has advantage.
Cunning Action, Gineca can dash, hide or disengage using a bonus action
Reactions
Uncanny Dodge: When an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack’s damage against you.
Legendary Actions
Gineca can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn.
- Silent Step. Gineca moves up to her speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
- Lethal Precision (Costs 2 Actions). Gineca makes a dagger attack with advantage.
- Smoke and Shadows. Gineca drops a magical obscuring mist in a 10-foot radius centered on herself. The area is heavily obscured until the start of her next turn.
