General Summary
As we return to Hero City several of our party notice that a squirrelfolk is hastily leaving Eli Whitney's home holding an arm load of papers and scrolls. At that moment a seasonal storm burst hits and a massive swirl of wind carries the paperwork from her little arms! She rushes over and explains that the paperwork was for us, but not *why* she wanted us to have them.
The party searches and find 5 partially intact notes;
- smudged and smeared but it seems to be a Hero City immigration form for a Human within approximately the last 10 years.
- one found in the stable, soiled and gross but it's a laborers agreement skreet
- writ of citizenship issued to a skreet male, a strange quality of paper that is very new (less than a month).
- soaking wet - crafting license issued for the city from 25 years ago.
- torn but clearly a travel permit, the letter 'e' is in the species line of the form and text shows that the person has never visited Hero City.
- The squirrelfolk assistant recalls that there were four potential partners, a Skreet, a Gnome, a Human, and an Elf.
- They had the following careers: Solder, Crafter, Laborer, and Noble

I tried to organize the brainstorming session among the party but it was actually Agol who managed to help us figure it out. Smart guy, especially for a goblin!
We take this information to Eli and ask his preference. At first he says he has no preference, but eventually he gives the following ranking of possible options;

3rd - Saphire
4th - Reb

I cast 'detect thoughts' and pry into Eli's mind - a young man at school, getting the bad news, fighting a troll with his friends, an argument, a second battle with three trolls, and another large creature - the marsh giant! Eli, allies defeated, negotiating with the giant and rescuing his friends.
I show him the gem shard and see the memory in his mind of a troll taking a big bite out of Saphire and breaking her original necklace. The emotion of regret washes over me - his choices cost his friends' lives and LIED to his friends about defeating the trolls, rather than negotiating for their escape.
We meet with Robin, a 15 year old human who left the 'old world' to escape family drama but absolutely loves the idea of returning to nobility.
Info about Naraveen;
Her family was headed to their homestead when they were set upon by quote "bandits or something" - the nanny went mad when she saw her employers and guards slaughtered and is residing in an asylum in Novis Terram.
We take the shard back to Saphire and she rewards us each with a 'special item' of value up to 4,000gp crafting value.
The party borrows horses and Togeth comes to return to the horses once we find Goob to help us fly to Novis Terram. From their, Goob agrees to take us to the city and two weeks later we arrive outside the city. Bork uses a previously unknown spell to get an arial view of the region and we're immediately struck by how odd the LARGE BLACKSTONE TOWER is that sits approximately two days away from Novis Terram. We begin traveling towards the tower on foot.
