Cannibal House
General Summary
After having taken down the half-orc, we loot the body and Rissa heals us enough to continue our rescue attempt. Unfortunately during this time we hear the pained screaming stop - we might be too late to save the merchants!
We move upstairs and Tilly scouts while I arm myself and Bork with kitchen utensils to fight our way out.
Tilly sees, from hiding, that Briggal is being butchered alive while Miles is stuck watching helplessly.
I decide to get involved, since listening to the screaming was wearing me down. Unfortunately, I fall through a trap door and end up back in the basement.
Tilly blasts the older half-orc with a powerful magic missile!
Freyja launches herself over the trap door, tumbling into the table where Briggal is tied, weakly trying to knock it over but failing.
Bork and Woofie move into the room, biting at him fiercly trying to defend Miles and the poor mutilated gully dwarf.
Woofie gets stabbed despite Miles trying to distract the orc.
I stand up and move up the ladder, only to be met by an incredibly hung half-dressed young orc with an amazing crossbow made out of bone - probably not animal bones. I tried to rush him, but there was ANOTHER trap and I got my leg stuck. The blinding pain rendered me unconscious.
Rissa skitters around all over, and finally finds a healing kit that she uses to stabilize a dying Bork.
A disembodied female orc voice Commands Freyja to go to the front door and ring the bell, which triggered a net trap!
The entire time, Samguise is singing and seems to be looking for the perfect kitchen knife to stab the orcs with...
Rissa moves to the bottom of the stairs and whips a kitchen knife up the stairs at Longarm - doing minimal damage but successfully landing a hit before running off out of his firing line.
Daddy orc is bleeding out in the other room and Freyja manages to free herself from the net.
Tilly sits on a table and makes squirrel noises at Longarm. It's cute and Longarm tries to shoot her but can't land a hit.
Rissa makes her way upstairs to rescue Etta while hearing the lady half-orc sob/giggle.
Upstairs, I try to take Etta from the upstairs bedroom but the Momma starts trying to convince Rissa & Tilly that she was a victim through this. I don't believe her, and can see she has a hidden dagger so I instinctively throw the nearest heavy object at her.
We managed to save Miles & Etta Steadworth from the cannibals!
