Bones in a Hole
General Summary
As we continue forward we find a locked door which Agol makes quick work of in a few moments and we proceed. The next chamber is a large open area with two exits, north and south. The locked doors to the south confound us, but to the north we're able to pass through and find a staircase heading upwards.
On the next floor we find a Large Bone Golem - although made from bodily remains, it's a construct, like myself and not religious or necromantic. I drop it in a hole and Agol wanders up, setting off a trap that disabled the cage and locked us in the room as automated bars dropped down. The others busy themselves with fruitless endeavors while Agol and I stay trapped in the room with the Bone Golem. Agol doesn't seem too concerned as he stands on the edge of my magical Spiked Pit and takes shots at it. Keeping a safe distance, I empty my pack of alchemical fire and acid down on the head of the golem, too.
Bork makes tracks and finds a lever way far down the hall and manages to release the metal bars, but in so doing also resets the wooden cage, which also launches Agol catapulting through the air! Almost immediately, Agol then sets off the cage-trap again and must dodge away from the slamming bars.
Rizza does an admiral job of alerting us when there are pressure plates to avoid. Eventually we wear them down and Tilly destroys the golem. Continuing up the stairs, we find a labratory with a trap-door in the center of the room.
Deciding to rest here, we take a break but unfortunately after a few hours a man in black enters the room with his quasit familiar. He seems to know we're still in the area and starts rushing to complete a spell/ritual. I alert the party and we prepare to go into battle weary and without many of our usual resources.
