Fey

"Hey, girl, hey!"
-Fey
Fey is a rabbitfolk from Ursara. A bounty hunter who speaks with bullets rather than words, she is a member of the Puppets of Chaos adventuring party.

History

Burning Spirit

Not too much is known about Fey's early years. Born in the Wildlands of Ursara, she was ostracized by her parents for her peculiar appearance. She'd find comfort in the company of her sister Eos and brother Kristoff.
The family lived among Ursara's grand forest. A popular spot for its bountiful fruit yields and diverse fauna, many families found years of jovial living here.
All until a blazing wildfire tore through it.
Fey's familiy was caught in the fire. In a mad dash, her parents worked to rescue who they could... but left Fey for dead. While her parents would find the time to travel and explore the world, Kristoff would hone his skills of artifice, and Eos eventually traveled to Gondra Isle to learn an ancient fighting style.
The young rabbitfolk, despite the stacked odds, survived the fire. Burnt and frayed, she'd find herself eventually in the care of two new life figures: a loving former bounty hunter and an adoring homemaker.

Gunning for a New Life

Fey was granted a second chance with her adoptive parents. Ash was a renowned bounty hunter For the first time, she didn't feel fear or apprehension toward parental figures. For the first time, she learned the foundations of a loving, familial relationship.
Teaching her how to defend and arm herself, the two hunters aided in Fey's developing proficiency in ranged weapons. Graduating from the blueberry slingshot she initially started with, Fey climbed the metaphorical ranks of arms. From shortbow to longbow, longbow to crossbow. Eventually, she learned about a type of weapon almost alien to her predetermined way of thinking: the gun.
It was a newer technology, albeit an imperfect one. Plans diffused from the distant land of Wheudal revealed schematics for an advanced form of weapon, one that channeled the strength of gunpowder into a more compact weapon. Prone to misfiring, the guns still demonstrated immense potential. And Fey fit into that niche all too well.
In a matter of years, Fey nearly outpaced her own found family at the bounty hunting game. Once she flew the coop, she traveled all around Heriqar to complete bounties and fight new foes. From escaped convicts to frost giants, Fey's portfolio only grew in her time as a bounty hunter.
At some point, Fey befriended a miniature space hamster. The two inexplicably formed a telepathic bond, becoming close friends as a result. The hamster, named Gus, offered a bite-sized perspective on the world, and gave Fey something to bounce outlandish ideas off of.

Playing with Puppets

In 1192 PR, Fey's antics brought her to the Alverican city of Scourwall to turn in a bounty: Plazz, an interplanar convict a local crime syndicate had their eyes on. Bringing him in alive, the rabbitfolk soon met two new influential figures: Bradizat, the lizardfolk merchant for the Talon Daggers, and Hush, an elven criminal who had taken on a leadership role with the organization.
Hush and Brady's history with Eos came up as a mutual talking point for the three. As they discussed her current escapades in Maletrium, a Talon Dagger lackey alerted the group to correspondence from Isa Benus, the mayor of Tonnesville and another friend of Brady and Hush. The group quickly learned that Tonnesville was under attack by a massive fiend. Eager to move fast, Fey and Hush traveled to the little town to offer Isa a hand.
After the battle died down, with Fey and Hush meeting the rest of their new crew, there was a mutual agreement to return Hush to Scourwall to continue his syndicate duties. Upon reaching the city, however, the crew was attacked by Consortium members hot on Hush's tail. With the heat of a magical conglomerate refusing to die down, the party agreed to stick together in order to preserve each other's safety.
Over time, Fey added new kills and accomplishments to her tally. She helped slay the mighty dragon Prucidrax, aided in overthrowing the dictatorship at Elandrel, took out some of the Consortium's biggest assets, and closed some abyssal breaches. Now, she faces the danger her sister is in at Maletrium: a deep, malign evil that has finally reawakened.

Appearance

Fey's looks are rather unorthodox for a rabbitfolk. Beyond her vibrant pink fur, she also stands taller than most of her species at 5 feet 5 inches.
Fey is rarely seen without her wide-brimmed hat; a staple of her kit. Hidden away in it is her pet space hamster Gus.

Personality

Generally, Fey is as happy-go-lucky as happy-go-lucky can be. Armed with a positive outlook, she keeps conversations light, even if the subject matter is difficult. She thinks of her career choice as a rule of nature: it's kill or be killed. As such, her relationship with death is purely transactional.
Fey is also known to struggle with otherworldy creatures in the looks department; when confronted by large, nigh incomprehensible monstrosities, she often finds herself looking at a wall while conversing. This was the case with Grimmispair's pet neothelid, K'erbeme, and the beholder crime lord of the Cobra Fangs, Raloxis.
