Gem court
Set atop the inner hill of zyrokhil, the Gem court palace rises in a sweep of gilded white stone and crystalline architecture, visible from every corner of the city. Its towers and terraces gleam with embedded gems—sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and especially opalescent stones—each reflecting sunlight in spectral patterns. Grand arched bridges and stairways coil between the spires, draped in trailing ivy and adorned with banners bearing ancient elven runes. The true marvel, however, is the crystal roofing: vast panels of magically-reinforced crystal arch over the main halls, casting shifting rainbows across the marble below and filling the palace with ever-changing light.
The outer walls are ringed with flowering trees and gemstone-encrusted statuary, each depicting legendary ancestors, former Veasir, or mythical beasts. Water features and gem-tiled pools mirror the grandeur of the sky above, making the whole complex feel as though it floats in a sea of color and light.

Main Hall
Entering through wide double doors—each set with a sunburst of colored gems—you step onto a marble floor veined with gold and inlaid with patterns of precious stones. The main hall is airy and open, with elegant pillars rising to support the crystalline dome. Gem mosaics in the floor form the city’s history in abstract scenes, while wall niches hold enchanted lights, refracted into dazzling patterns by the crystal roofing above.Throne Room
To the west, the grand throne room is a wide, circular chamber dominated by a raised dais. The throne itself is wrought of gold and crystal, set before a window of faceted glass that fills the room with a kaleidoscope of light. The walls are decorated with panels of inlaid jewels and scenes of elven triumph, diplomacy, and ancient battles. Here, politics and ceremony unfold beneath a ceiling that mimics the night sky, complete with shifting constellations created by floating lights.Gem Library
At the heart of the palace lies the Gem Library, a sanctuary of magical knowledge. Shelves of crystal and silver line the walls, filled with tomes, scrolls, and magical treatises. The centerpiece is a floating crystal orb, suspended above a gem-etched map table, which projects illusions of distant places and times. Soft, colored light from the roof bathes the room, allowing scholars to read by the glow of enchanted stones.Chapel of Lathander
The Kapel van Lathander (Chapel of Lathander) is an intimate but radiant space. Sunlight—filtered through rose quartz and amber glass—paints the altar in warm, dawn-like hues. The chapel is reserved for high rituals, with seating formed from intertwined wood and crystal, and an altar that appears to bloom with light as prayers are spoken.
