Gannendar
The Gannendar family resides in Kaldran on the northern border of the Kingdom Salternia. The town is adjacent to the ancient forest of Ebirecca.
The Gannendars have only recently been named the stewards of Kaldran due to the great prosperity they have breought to the previously unimportant village. Under the Gannendars and their enterprises the idillic hamlet has grown into a town of great renown. Kaldran is nowadays known as a commercial hub for animal trade and as one of the leading distributors of mounts, messenger birds, and exotic pets from the north.
The Gannendar family has always longed for political connections, though failed to make any until their youngest daughter had demonstrated a sudden talent of forging connections - not with humans and nobility - but with the animals of Ebirecca forest. An unexpected occurence, which has jumpstarted the business that made the Gannendars into one of the richest families in the Kingdom of Salternia alongside the Vankrellens and Arlstaphs. Although, the daughter in question has proven unwilling to participate in attracting the animals from the woods, the idea was born, and the Gannendar family does not intend to let the Circle of Dáhaì druids who protect the sacred forest interfere with their newfound wealth. Even after the druids have seemingly kidnapped the daughter of the Gannendars and done extensive damagae to their economy, the family seems more concerned in caring for their businesses. While one particular druid named Calennon has tried time and time again to throw the Gannendars off their destructive path so far they have rebuilt stronger each time. So far, the family has successfully sown mistrust and distaste for the druids of the Circle of Dáhaì in their town and political allies.
