Phoebe

Phoebe resides in the Jade Tower of Phoebe in Pavlopetri.
She has resided here for about 17 years, about the same time that the Tower was built for her. It is said that Kyros while campaigning in his youth in Persia rescued Phoebe from a local leader. She in turn made several prophesies that helped Kyros win a great battle against the Persians of Caria.
He brought Phoebe back to Sparta and had the extravagant jade tower built for her with the wealth he obtained in Persia. She has been a loyal friend ever since, and guides both Kyros and the people of Sparta when she can.
It was Phoebe who linked Kyros's nightmares to the tomb, and it was she who suggested recruiting heroes to venture into the tomb in an attempt to end the curse.
Phoebe knows the general history of the tomb: Hippias and his brother Arsene founded Pavlopetri over 1,000 years ago. They defended the citizens from a tribe of Tritons determined to bring about the destruction of the newly founded town. The Tritons claimed the shore and surrounding territory as their own. In the battle of Pavlopetri Hippias slew the Triton King, Palamon. Unfortunately in his hour of victory tragedy befell his family as Arsene was slain in the battle.
After the battle of Pavlopetri, Hippias married Arsene's widow, Monika. Four months later he was murdered by her who in her grief poisoned him and then poisoned herself. The tomb had been built to house the family and Hippias, Monika, and Arsene are interred therein.
Phoebe also knows that Kyros is not the first ruler of Pavlopetri to suffer these visions. She has determined that whenever a Harmost reaches the age of 52, the nightmares begin. 52 is the age at which Hippias died and is the trigger for the curse of the tomb to infect the local ruler.
