Sagaron

The Repentant, God of Giants, The Humbled.

Born of Calium's folly, Sagaron was the pride and nobility of Calium, torn from the body did Saragon form. Sagaron knew no fear, for he knew from birth the extend of his own excellence and skill with the blade. Though he fought valiantly and without fear, he fought not for his father nor his sister . No Sagaron fought for his ambition, for unlike his father Sagaron held ambition in his heart, a vision for the future he had to fulfill, for other god had his vision and only he could guide the pantheon.   But the war was already over before he could truly proof himself to Raziel and Morkova, and though he had become their knight, he was not yet satisfied, and so when The Plane Wars began he eagerly threw himself into a conflict, for it would be his chance to prove himself to the heavenly panthoen.

Giant Father

When the great cauldron of Morkova was sought by all for the chance to create their own race, so too did Sagaron, and by the favor of Raziel was he allowed to use the cauldron for two days, and thus did he create the giants, he would make them great and powerful like himself and imbued them with different aspects depending on where he placed their great kingdoms, but all would be ruled by the storm lords. With his children did he wage terrible war against the titans and in time the firstborn, dragging them along his great campaigns to root out all who apposed the pantheon.

The Sinner

Though the catalyst itself is unknown, Sagaron turned his back upon the giants, in fact, he turned his back upon all his followers and the very pantheon itself, exiling himself to the edges of the realms, sometime after the great war for creation had ended. In penance did he tear off his jaw, did he would never be able to devour another being again. For years did he walk without purpose, leaving his children to suffer and the world to be without the Mantle he had left.

The Repentant

In time Sagaron returned to the material plane and the heavens, with a new purpose, he would repent for the sins of the past, by healing the present, with the aid of Oktavi did he spread knowledge of medicine and imbued all who were willing with healing powers. He taught his followers the folly of his previous ways and of the sanctity of life, and the responsibilities of the sword.

Aspects

The Redeemer

The Redeemer seeks to spread redemption to all who are willing, that no one is beyond saving, he has to, for if not, then he would also be so. Thus does he encourage his follows to always offer the chance of redemption, to believe in the good of others, and the innate ability all creatures have to feel love and compassion. He firmly believes that all evil comes from a lack of love for others, that if no one starved, and no lacked appreciation for others then all creatures could find solace in life.   Though Saragon's healing reaches all without distinction, and his forgiveness is granted to every sinner. It is hard fact for him and his worshipers that some are beyond his grace, and that sometimes one life taken, can save many, that is his ultimate test to his followers, can they make the right call?

The Resplendent

Though it is an aspect he rarely invokes himself, he is still the god of nobility and pride. he is thus invoked by nobels and those who express pride in their ability, he was the god beauty and refinement, thus to some degree by its association with nobility in some regions. Though is not one to shy away from worship, he does attempt to teach his followers caution in pride, and responsibility to their own noble selves, and titles if used in that association.

Worship

The worship of Saragon is often held at great festivals, where his followers spread food and joy, that is the purest manifestation of his worship, his sacred temples often doubling as hospitals and shelters.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

His holy symbol is a white rose, often depicted with a pendant or with a statuette/focus of two hands cupping a white rose whose thorns cut into the arm.

Tenets of Faith

Redemption is never beyond anyone's grasp. Pour not your hatred towards the sinner, but towards the sin itself. Forgiveness in every act. Spread not hate, but acceptance so that the wrong doer may repent in life and not in death. Death is not a means towards an end, it an end, one that has will a wound in your soul.
