The number and range of services available increases with settlement size. This list show the typical availability of shops and services within each type of settlement (although this can vary widely based on geography or other local factors):
Markets
Villages and small towns generally host a market each week, with traders travelling between settlements in rotation. Larger towns and cities feature permanent marketplaces.- Animals

Accomodation and property
Temporary accomodation can be found in inns, way-temples, and caravanserai. Property sales are typically achieved via one-to-one negotiations, and opportunities to purchase buildings or lands are rarely advertised. Real estate typically stays in families for generations. Bakers and butchers can be found in towns and cities, but most food is purchased as raw ingredients in the marketplace. Here you can generally find a large range of fish, grains, vegetables, and spices. Taverns and inns offer drinks and hot meals to guests, while street traders and market stalls offer smaller snacks such as fruit or meat pies. Domestic animals are used for a range of purposes; dogs provide companionship and security, horses are used for transportation, and livestock provide meat, milk, and wool.
