The Treaty of Equilibrium
One of the many treaties penned and championed by the Great King Vaeldemar Palimon. This treaty laid the foundations of coexistence and tolerance for the Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs. Beginning the overall harmony between Mankind and the Elder Races.
Though the Great King passed from this world, along with The Kingdom of the Heartland Realms that he built. The nations to succeed it still uphold it to this day. Having experienced the benefit of having Citizens from among the Elder Races, as well as the benefit of trade with Autonomous Realms within their own borders.
The Treaty has copies in every Heartland Kingdom, with its original on display at the University of Lennistine as a national treasure.

Public Reaction
The treaty was met with criticism, contempt, hate, and fear. But overtime, the local governments and the peoples they govern saw the benefits of sharing citizenship with the Elder Races. As well as trade with local Autonomous Domains. Public opinion shifted from prejudice and racism, to tolerance. And later, acceptance. While the old hatreds still endure in some. The overall intent of the treaty has been achieved.
Legacy
Elves, Dwarves, and even Orcs today live and thrive along side Human neighbors. Equals in citizenship as well as enterprise. When before, the Elder Races were met with suspicion, hate, and prejudice. Another component of the grand legacy left by the late king Vaeldemar Palimon.
