War of Collision

The Conflict

Prelude

The Time of Darkness precipitated the war of Collision. When the it began, many factions that had long been hungry for war took the chaos as an opportunity, and began an all out assault on Miðgarr, attempting to claim the central realm for their own. The dverge that had taken up residence their took up arms as a united front in an attempt to drive them back, but by the time they had formed a cohesive offensive, much of the damage had already been done.

Outcome

Despite the apparent victory they had claimed, the United Dvergic Front quickly fell apart when the veil was erected as they were cut off from the voice of Hyrrhorn. The battle they had long fought yielded them little fruit as they fell to infighting and chaos.   The tvyrs clans were apparently driven out, and any lingering ðyrs were eradicated. As the realms settled and the time of darkness came to a close, the war too slowly dwindled into nothingness.

Aftermath

The war devastated the realms, ending the lives of millions of foundlings and thousands of tyvrs. Civilization collapsed en masse during the war and has not widely recovered since. Much of the geography of Miðgarr was shaped by the actions taken during the war, and the lingering scars of battle continue to effect the realm at large. Wounds gouged in the firmament of the realm itself fester and crystalize with the taint of the ðyrs. The dverge maintain a dominant place on the realm as the one true cohesive fighting force that stood up to the threat of the tvyrs tribes.   Since that time, civilization has begun to grow back slightly, but it is slow going in many places.

Strength

Despite gathering the combined might of the entire realm of Miðgarr's dverge, the United Front could only muster less than half a million dverge on the field at the height of their strength.
The tvyrs, the sapient and intelligent ðyrs who laid waste to the realms of foundlings for centuries, were not nearly as united in their efforts as the dverge were. Despite this, each tvyrs accounts for thousands of dverge alone, and they were able to tame and direct ðyrs beasts to destroy foundling structures en masse. Their strength far overwhelmed that of the dverge for much of the war.

Casualties

Many hundreds of thousands of dverge fell during the war, with many more civilians lost in the chaos.
To common knowledge, the ðyrs were somehow driven out of Miðgarr and destroyed.

Objectives

The Front sought to drive the ðyrs from the realm, with the additional goal of eradicating them entirely if possible.
The tvyrs' motives were as myriad as their forms, and they were splintered into many clans, families, and orders. While their objectives were not clear, they all caused untold devastation to the realms of foundlings wherever they went.

The art in this is beautiful! Also, I appreciate the fact that you have made use of the "belligerents" sections in the template; these are usually the aspects that give the best overview of a conflict at a glance. If you look on Wikipedia, these sidebars contain very similar information when you look up a battle or a war.   I imagine you were struggling a bit with the sheer scope of this conflict. When you're talking about a war that affects multiple realities or planes of existence, trying to give it numerical values is a bit overwhelming. If I might make a suggestion for the future, concentrating on a couple of major battles or battlefields, just to give the conflict some human scale in the overview, might really help. Another thing you could do is make use of quote boxes to give us some of the voices of people involved in the conflict, like you did with such great effect in what I read of the Time of Darkness article.   Overall, good work! If you flesh this out some in the future, ping me so I can check it out :)
