Collective of Nebre - CoN
Servents of Nebre. The collector, the god of knowledge, the grand librarian. Conmen, they call them. Agents that show up at key points in history. Sites of grand discovery. At every turning point, a member of this organization can be found. Assuming that is, that one looks hard enough.
The truth of the matter is, just like their master, these conmen are collectors. Skeptics may assume that they are some sort of masterminds pulling at the threads of history. Manipulating the passage of events to fit some grand design of secret orgins. This is untrue. At least of the majority of the organization. The conmen collect major artifacts, or sometimes those of lesser importance, that simply won't be missed. All of these items, linked to an important event. A pen used to sign a treaty. A scraped early bluerint of a revolutionary invetion.
It is unknown truely where these items end up ulimately. There are whispers that it all goes to a place they call the "Grand Library", but that couldn't be true. It just a group of conmen, liars, tricksters... Should you really believe any of this is true.
Structure
Librian - The title held by Nebre, the god of knowlege. The one the manages all records of knowledge and discovery.
Curator - The only members that know the true location of the Grand Library. These people ultimately cordination with all members to collect the stolen items for transport to the library. Less than a dozen members exist at this level, but their identies are unknown even to those delivering to them.
Procurement specialist - Individuals that direct agents toward specific items and varify their authenticity prior to passage to the curators
Agents - Specialists that are sent out for recovery of desired objects. They act on the information procured by the assistants. They move strategicely after detailed planing.
Assistants - The intro level members. Though their importance is clear. These individuals are vast and come from all walks of life. They blend seemlessly into society as, they are simply normal people. Any and all information they gather is transmitted to the agents. Rumors, anouncements, plans, and even market cost changes. Every tid bit of information they gather is transmitted. Its up to their highers to organize the information for relevance.
The 10's - Not directly within the heirarchy. This is a special group of individuals that process and organize all of the data that is sent up the chain. They sort each puzzle piece into the appropriate box before sending them out in a nice package.
Culture
This organization is extremely secretive. Any mention of their existance by a member may be punishable by death or an extremely painful and thorough memory wipe. Also known as "The wash".
No accolytes are approached after careful consideration. Although many have been pulled inot the organization without being fully aware of their affiliation.
Public Agenda
Preserve history via the collection fo objects linked to their importance.
Divine Origins
Unknown. Or a well protected secret.
Cosmological Views
The purpose of existence is only to serve the creation of history.
Ethics
You steal only what is necessary for the collection of knowledge. This is the primary tenet and can often be very losely interpreted.
Worship
Donation of deisred items are the ultimate form of devotion.
Political Influence & Intrigue
Members are not publicly identified. For most, the organization is not their sole purpose of being. This makes it even easier for many members to be in positions of power. They are everywhere, but the major members avoid playing major roles in the turning points of history. They choose to stay in position of observation. This does not mean that all high ranking members avoid thse positions. Some believe that it is their duty not just to observe, collect, and protect history, but to drive its creation.
Sects
Their is divergence like in many organizations. The major divide is between those that follow the "True" doctrine. The doctine of observation. There are also those that follow the doctrine of creation. A passive versus and active force.
