There are three moons orbiting Kom Txaus, kept in place by a magical connection with the planet. The light of each moon energizing the corresponding field of magic. Xania powers the sphere of light, Dasijn, water, and Flalib ,minerals. People and devices deep underground are unaffected, this includes surface dwellers venturing there. Magical items are more notable during a full moon.
Orbiting Kom Txaus just under 34 days, Xania is the smallest, being less than half diameter of Earth's moon. During the full moon, Xania cast a yellow hue over the world, increasing the yellow glow of organics and devices that use Yellow Magic. Dasijn full moon appears every 59 days and larger than Xania. Dasijn, known as the water moon, cast a blue hue over the land, increasing the power of water magic. Many of the lakes and seas became a deeper blue, revealing hidden water caves. When both Xania and Dasijn are full, greens become deeper revealing the ability to use both magics at the same time. 
Flalib orbits every 109 days and is larger than Dasijn. Flalib, known as the blood moon, cast a crimson glow across the world. When Flalib and Dasijn are full, a purple hue spreads across the world. Flalib and Xania turn the world different shades of orange. On rare occasions, when all three light up the sky, the land becomes a rainbow of colors.
Mages with the ability to harness the energy of two moons are unusual, while rare ones absorb the energy from all three. Any wizard affected by two or more moons has more energy during multiple full moons, but they much weaker during dark moons. When the three moons align in the sky, Xania has two colored halos. Every 475 years the three moons cross the sky in their full glory at the same time. An ancient prophecy speaks of an off-worlder restoring the abundance of magic to the masses. Should it be completed during the new moons, magic will diminish and the world will plunge into darkness. The three will be full on Suvier, 30 -31, in 2700.
With three moons, the coastal towns and cities have learned how to deal with tides that can fluctuate over fifty feet within a day in some locations.
