Hauv Pem
The continent of Hauv Pem is the second largest on the world Kom Txaus. Kom Txaus crust is a honey comb of caverns and grottoes, many natural, there are a number of races thriving in the world of dark or Haab Txaus. Some of the passages extend to over a mile down and cover hundreds of miles, with a small portion explored by surface dwellers. The planet host a wide variety of minerals and other products. What the planet does not have is oil, coal or natural gas, forcing civilizations to grow with other means of power.
The planet is orbited by three moons, Xania aka the yellow moon every 33 days, a Dasijn aka the blue moon every 59 days and Flalib aka the red moon every 130 days. They are held in orbit by a magical force that keeps them in balance and recharges the different magics.
Hauv Pem is one of eight continents on the world Kom Txaus. The world has a counter rotation allowing the sun to rises in the west and set in the east. It takes it 449 days to circle the sun, with 450 days on years ending with a 0, 4, and 7. The calendar has eight days a week with thirty-four days a month with a spring holiday of four extra days and one in the fall with three, or four, depending on the year. The continent is about 6,000 miles across, reaching from the arctic circle to the equator, covering over twenty-seven million square miles.
The continent is divided into two haves by a mountain range stretching from the arctic to the southern ocean,with the west being only one-third. The east is divided into north and south by the Thesila Mountain Range, angling down from the center of the continent to the eastern sea. The ranges create a major separation for culture, races, and languages.
