The Geltric Stone

Found outside the Beral city of Geltric, the Geltric stone is a small object of unknowable age able to comfortably be held within the palm of one's hand. The smooth shiny blue surface is covered in various words in the Aljah script etched underneath the stone's surface in a gold tone. The meaning of the script was a hotly debated topic amongst scholars at the time of the stone's discovery. The understanding of the Aljah script was poor and translation were often esoteric and misleading. As scholars took different attempts at translating the script they each came up with different meanings within the stones wording. But the thread of impending death and despair was common that most thought the translations were just a little off.   Two things kept the stone's first mystery hidden for its first decade after discovery. The first being the simple lack of understanding of the language but the second was the impending long-dark which was the first record bleak dark. The bleak dark threw the world into a disarray costing thousands of lives.   Once passed, the stone's message began to change dramatically from scholar to scholar. Each noting events that were planned in the next month or so and some things that happened during the days taken to translate the stone's words. Quickly it became clear that the stone could predict the future of the holder, at least to a degree. The Aljah language is notoriously flowery and imprecise so the predictive power of the stone is largely lost in the the modern world.   For at least the last 1000 years with a break for the The Dragonborn Occupation the Primarchs of the Dwarven Ent Jorian clan have been chosen by holding the stone. Should the stone mention coronation then the chosen dwarf is elevated to the position of Primarch.
