Zheng

The zheng are responsible for weather crafting and other natural phenomena. On the physical plane, they take the form of a feline with spotted or striped fur. They have one horn at the center of their head and many tails. Each of their tails control different aspects of the weather, such as wind, rain, and snow. When zheng fight with each other, or different otherworldly beings, their powers become more destructive, they create earthquakes, floods, or forest fires.

Zheng From Chinese Lore

Zheng is one of the many creatures recorded in the Classic of Mountains and Seas written by Yu the Great. The book contained images and excerpts of many rivers, mountain ranges, heroes, historical figures, and creatures. Zheng was depicted as a leopard with five tails and one horn. It lives in a large mountain with many stones and pine trees. It has a loud roar that sounds like the clashing of stones.
