Oni Territory

This small, harsh outcropping of land isn’t the oni’s territory by choice, but rather there isn’t anywhere else for them to go. While an average oni has the chance of defeating a therianthropy in battle, the therianthrope vastly outnumber the oni, and the therianthrope are willing to bend to demands and will of the more powerful races, while the oni refuse to bow. So their kind is stuck with the land that no one else wants.

The soil is harsh and rocky as earth is affected by the runoffs of Svar-loka’s Gate, but not quite as toxic. The land here isn’t poisoned enough to the extremophiles of Svar-loka’s Gate, but too insufferable for major ecosystems to survive. There are some sparse outcroppings of life, just enough for the oni to survive off of, but hardly enough resources for them to thrive. Oni stick to small nomadic clans in order to survive at all.
