Koris Harabor

Koris is King Miginath’s middle son and the younger brother of Sir Maldan Harabor.
Although a bastard, Koris is devoted to his father and has never left his side. After being knighted, the honorable Koris worked his way up through the ranks of the royal guard until he achieved the rank of Marshal in 712.
Koris is quite popular among the common folk of Tashal, seen as a humble man justly raised to high rank.
Unlike his brother, Koris maintains ties to his mother’s family, the merchant clan Harabor from Vemionshire.
His close friendship with the Constable of Tashal, the similarly humble Haldare Venera, is another point in his favor.
If anyone ever learned the two men are lovers, the public would likely turn against Koris.
Koris’s possible attitude after the death of father is uncertain. The 45 year old Marshal of the Royal Guard will be torn between loyalty to his brother and loyalty to the kingdom.
He will likely favor his brother but not at the cost of bringing the kingdom to ruin. The other royals guards will be similarly torn in their loyalties between their commander and their families.
One candidate Koris will find particularly difficult to stomach is Sir Conwan Elendsa.
As Sheriff of Semethshire, Conwan claims jurisdiction over city of Tashal, and he has clashed with Marshal Koris on several occasions.
Only the mediation of Constable Venera have kept the men from blows.
Sir Koris finds the high-born arrogance of Conwan to be insufferable.
Motives: Protect his beloved father and his secret lover. Oppose the rule of the arrogant Conwan. Help his brother Maldan and be blind to his corruption.
