Sarkintar Flower

The Sarkintar Flower is an important plant in the healing of wounds by the healers of Hamanshiron, most Shamanic Druid circles cultivate their own crop but it can be found in many places in the wild forests of the world, though it is difficult to cultivate properly.
It is the sap that comes from the cutting of the flower that produces the compound that healers use in their salves and the petals of the flower are used to make painkillers. If the flower is cut at the wrong place on the stem or handled indelicately then it can mean the medicinal properties of the flower have been compromised or destroyed. Also once it is cultivated there is around 30 days from which the sap can be used or the flower oetals
It's for this reason that there are Sarkintar farms in Ryochi, which is the single largest producer and exporter of the medicines made from the flower, because over three hundred generations they have passed their knowledge and expertise in the cultivation of the flower to successive generations, They rear domestic Akara at the same time, to pollinate their crops but also as a source of meat.
Though the potency of the medicines from Ryochi are lower than those made from wild Sarkintar and Wild Akara, the trade in medicines has still made them a powerhouse in Findallian and Worldwide mercantile matters. Sarkintar farmers are some of the wealthiest individuals in Ryochi, though rare, they occasionally rise to nobility on the back of their success.
Like the Lahigora family, who are staunch supporters of the Emperor, and provide many a Cavalier and footsoldier to his army. Fifteen Generations ago Astikoro Lahigora's eldest Mahigora son married the middle daughter, Mishana of the Tachinoi family, therefore elevating him to the nobility, no daughter of a noble house of Ryochi can be married to a commoner unless they are elevated to noble status,Mishana thought this was a love match which to them was but it was after a series of loans to the Tachinoi family from Astikoro, and would come to the point of default, which lead to Gastimora of the Tachinoi agreeing to a match, his daughter was fiercly independent and would only marry for love, so they were introduced surreptitiously at a function and Mahigora was coached on her likes and dislikes. As Mahigora was the eldest son, his elevation elevated the family to nobility.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Sarkintar Flower reproduces naturally by spreading it's seedlings on the forest floor and the Wild Akara which is prevelant throughout Hamanshiron ingests it, then when it's droppings are expelled the seed has been fertilised and it has the dung to grow from, the Akara receives many nutrients from the seedlings and so they have a symbiotic relationship

Ecology and Habitats

The flower grows in several places throughout the known world, mostly temperate forest or woodlands, they do not thrive in rainforests because while it does require heat to bloom, rainforest rain fall is too much water for them to survive. Which is why patches of it are rare in Valantraria, the most northerly continents weather pattern is not conducive to it's growth.
