Hamanshiron is a world of Wonders and woes, where the Celestium and Underworld do battle for the souls of the beings that inhabit it and Limbo seeks to keep the balance, where friend can become foe with the twist of fate and the future of a people can turn on the whim of the few. This is a world of adventure, where secrets long forgotten are buried deep and only the whiliest of adventurer can find it.   It is a massive world populated by many species, young, old and ancient, where old grudges have been set aside in the name of the Light, and new Allies have been found for the cause of the Dark. Where Dragons roam their mountain ranges and seek to keep their people alive in a world that is ever growing and they are pushed ever higher by the encroachment of technology. Where Orkuun stand tall as defenders of lands that their ancestors once despoiled, welcomed by those whose ancestors would have been aghast at Dwarves and Goblins standing side by side in the service of the Light.     There are six continents and many island chains that cover around 40% of Hamanshiron's surface, the rest is taken up by the greater and lesser seas.     The first of the continents is Valantaria, the great north continent and the only continent on Hamanshiron that is entirely above the equator, where the country of Valantar dominates and where the council of the Light sits in deliberation over the work of the Light and Eternal Guard stand in watch over the Land.     The second continent is Melanious, the Largest and most densely populated of the six major continents, and home to the Literal birthplace of the Species of man, Esira, the second richest country in the world and most technologically advanced begining to Rival the Mountain Dwarf Kingdoms for the ingenuity of it's people.     Thirdly Eskadoria, which is where most of the Dark Empires have their foothold, but there are still a few of the so called goodly folk survive holding together thier civilizations on Eskadoria which is where the great Reptiles, the Dinosaurs of Hamanshiron roam, some are used as beasts of burden, some are tamed to be ridden, but yet more roam Wild in the Plains, Jungles and flatlands of the continent, many of the nations both Light and Dark try to avoid those ones, trying to combat them can be more trouble than it is worth.     Estradoris, has a shotgun of tiny countries and lawless lands throughout, most of the goodly peoples have settlements and even entire nations here. But none of those nations were around at the beginning of the age, because Estradoris has the unenviable nickname of the Continent of Strige, as it is one of constant warfare, civil wars, famines and floods, that has meant most countries are less that 2 centuries old and even the old ones are younger than a Millennia, opposed to places like Valantar which stood throughout the Dark Age and was formed Long before that.   Findallas connects to Estradoris through Shimak mountains and if is from here that the Psionic peoples spread throughout the world, and even now they dominate the countries of the continent, only the so called Central 7 co-alition, Imaltanda, Kinawan, Hacuras, Iwajira, Thamtar, Malana and Romatha, do not have a Psionic ruling Dynasty or conclave, which is curious as the Great Sundering that preceded the Great Psionic Awakening, is at the point where the Borders of Hacuras, Kinawan and Iwajira meet, ringed by border forts and the Awakar Wall, it is a place where dark things roam and only the fool hardy or brave venture through and even braver live and make a living   Thulos is the last of the continents and connects to Findallas are the Razorback mountains, Khomampak stradles both continents, all and all travel between the two halves goes through the two garrison towns of Jallad on the Findallas side and Tanagra on the Thulos side of the Hejemini pass. It is here that Dark and the Light vie for power on a regular basis, several of the Kingdoms have expanded or contracted and switched hands between rulers who follow the Light and those who follow the Dark. For the most part as long as their daily life isn't affected the people let them do whatever they want to do.   In addition to the huge landmasses there are some very significant island chains, In the Philarian sea to the East of Thulos and close to the most westerly tip of Melanious there is the Brogthanian Islands, known commonly as the Minotaur Islands as this is where the overly proud species of Bull-men sail across the world in their merchant fleets and sell wares to the four corners, considered to be one of the goodly races of Hamanshiron. There are the Sothoun Islands in the Thum sea south of Melanious and West of Eskadoria, this is where the Aeareledhel (Sea Elves) are concentrated, most of their land based population lives in the Sothoun islands. To the south of Valantaria are the Fronrostian islands home of the Fronrostian Reavers.   In the Miskalon sea are two Island chains, the Miskalon Islands where the mighty Mage lords of Hamanshiron study the arcane arts and teach the next generation of magi and the Uncharted Islands which is shrouded in a great magical mist which keeps it locked off from the rest of the world only the denizens of that land and those who have been shipwrecked there know the history of that place. In the Great Arctic sea are the Islath Islands, a chain of islands split between four powers and in a state of constant war with each other. Finally in the Edarian sea are the North and South Edarian Islands, mostly inhabited by savages and cannibals, though these places are abundant in precious and magical metals and minerals and as such there are strongholds of the various races who occupying islands where they have no real business being.
