Arkun Dalvar

First Commander Dalvar Arkun

Arkun Dalvar is one of the most famous adventurers in the history of all Hamanshiron, the First Wayfinder chosen by the council of Light, chosen to serve as Leader and First Commander, terms which have been since abandoned and the organisation is nothing like the one he started.
He was born the youngest son of one of the Kings of the Continent of Strife, which one is lost in antiquity, and given the volatile nature of the nations of Estradoris, his land of birth could easily no longer be around. He never settled into palace life.
At the age of 15 he left with a suit of chainmail, a sword, a shield, a horse and his cupbearer, Darmik with a couple pack animals never to return. He made his name as a sword for hire for adventurers in need of muscle.
It was in that he met Fankon Iangrirr, the famed Elf Mage of the era, and their partnership began, Arkun became his right hand, always at each others side no matter the place, whether within a dungeon or at a palace function.
At the beginning of the last Great War Fankon was recalled to the Tower of Nemmírëedil, and for the next five years Arkun would fight beside the Tower Guard until the last battle at the Harnikae hills, saving the life of King Celodoran of the High Elves.
When the battle was over and the darkness was defeated he was the first name on many mouths to be leader of a new organisation the Avatars of the Gods had tasked the newly formed permanent Council of the Light to form. This was what was to become the modern Wayfinders, though it was something altogether different in his day
His career as the leader of the Wayfinders is another tale for another time.
