Egon Maltris

Egon Maltris is the resident blacksmith of Sea Side district and a bit of a local folk hero - much to the chagrin of the local senators and Congregation.  Though he doesn't technically own his own store (as Coriosan law dictates that a female must be listed as the owner), he is the primary operator of the Piercing Trident.  Egon's tools and simple weapons are used by commoners and sailors alike. Even the guard can rely on the nets and daggers that he creates.  Even then he is kind, and helpful to his neighbors and visitors to the district - always willing to lend a hand.

Egon is a strong and burly individual, used to swinging a hammer.  He is no slouch when it comes to manual labor and is frequently called on for assistance in lifting things for his neighbor and colleague, Agatha Beachwallow.

Personal history

Egon was born and raised in Corio, the son borne of a tryst between a Naut and a seamstress in Seaside.  Though he frequently goes into the city and in the outlying fields, he has never truly left Corio.  As such he is unfamiliar with the world beyond the Dytika isles and those of the Plains-dweller ethnicity besides through tails.    

Education

As most tradesmen in Seaside, Egon learned how to be a blacksmith from his apprenticeship to one several years back.  Though his mentor is now retired, every now and then visitors to the Piercing Trident can see an intimidating Half-orc woman providing criticism to his technique. 

Employment

Though he is the primary operator of the Piercing Trident, he is legal only an employee to the mistress of the shop.  As a blacksmith and merchant, he is a member of the Congregation of Merchants, though he often objects to some of their more cut-throat policies.
