Session 6: Camping Report
General Summary
17th of Shesti, T.A. 2783
The group set out from Light's Hope along their proposed route. They opted to follow the road leading to Light's Hope back towards the King's road highway and then planned to cut through wilderness towards the ruins of Caford with a stop along the way at Gondolad for some supplies. Shortly into their journey they stumbled upon a ransacked and mostly destroyed homestead. Sir Tancred, Krull, and Azar spent much of the late morning and early afternoon digging graves and performing sacred rites for the dead. Tal used the time to search through the house for anything useful and was able to find some preserved rations in the cellar of the home. On the next day the group set out and by mid-morning had reached the King's Road. It was at that point that they discovered they believed they were being tracked by some unknown group. The party soldiered on through the wilderness eventually making camp in a small copse of trees with a clearing. The party, fearing an ambush, made sure to set a constant watch all through the night by taking shifts. Thanks to Krull's keen eyes, the group avoided an ambush by what turned out to be a tribal warband and a ferocious battle ensued. While the group was pressed to their breaking point, eventually their skill won out over the enemies' numbers. Most notably, however, was the green flame and thunderous shockwave that Azar created to avoid being overrun by the tribesman. As the next day began to dawn, the party was left amid the dead tribesman, a shattered campsite, and the knowledge they had a magic user amongst them.
