Red Plumed Giant Tubeworm

this tubeworm has a bright red, giant branchial plume. it lives along the edge of hydrothermal vents, and relies on sulfur-eating symbiont bacteria it stores in its gut to feed itself. by absorbing hydrogen sulfide and oxygen from the surrounding environment passively, it feeds the bacteria which in turn produce the energy the tubeworm needs to survive.
