The Pirates of Mytilias

"Are you tired of how the world is treating you? Do you want a life of adventure where you are treated as a person, not a peon? Then the pirate life is for you. Come one, come all. Check out the Pirates of Mytilias!"

The Pirates of Mytilias started when a group of wealthy, aristocratic friends from multiple races and countries became pissed at their families and how their families were ruling their countries. These friends decided that they would play devil's advocate and make chaos all over their world.   They recruited by putting up advertising flyers in each of the Capital cities for their families. Word of mouth spread from their to the outlying areas. There was an outpouring of response, mostly from the younger children of the families of the countries. The friends decided to split apart and make multiple Pirate Guilds to accommodate all the new pirates.   The friends broke up into three groups: the Rube Raiders, Captivating Corsairs, and Mischievous Marauders. Each group created their own code of ethics, way of dress, culture norms, and bylaws, though set standards were agreed by all the friends before each group made their own revisions. The pirate guilds work together to maintain this culture and codes, and to keep their working relationship healthy.   This culture and codes are so progressive and kept up to date with the changing times, that they are always in line with the most current generation's way of thinking. This causes havoc not only with the government trying to track down the pirates themselves, but also with the governments trying to keep control of their population.   These IDEALS are what they inspire in others more than anything else, though they still maintain working relationships with thieves' guilds in most cities on Mytilias. These ideals have caused governments to be overthrown by their own people.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

"Be Yourself!"
The beauty ideal for all pirates is to be inclusive, be authentic, be transparent.  Be yourself in all you do.

Gender Ideals

"Be Your Gender Identity"
The gender ideal is all genders, no matter what they are.  The pirate guilds don't discriminate because of gender for any reason.  All pay and titles are influenced by how a job is done. Gender doesn't play into it.

Relationship Ideals

"Do you own thing, but don't let it affect you job!"
The pirate guild doesn't care who is dating or sleeping with, as long as it is consensual with both parties, both parties are adults, and that they are aware of all risk going into the relationship. Otherwise, the pirate guild will only get involved in a relationship if one of the party's job is being affected.
