Vegan Shrew

The Vegan Shrew, also known as the Barkmouse or Halcyon Shrew, is a very ordinary looking shrew with a slight green-brown hue. This shrew is unique in that it tastes and smells like leaves- which makes it unappetizing and difficult to hunt for traditional predators. The Vegan Shrew's true enemy in this world are bugs, which often mistake it for grass and seek to either nest or consume the Shrew's fur. For this reason, vegan shrews have adapted into more social creatures with habits of group-grooming, which also supply these communes with food. 
These creatures are sometimes believed to have a connection to Dryads. In Halikvar religion, eating a Vegan Shrew is still considered vegan despite having blood (which is believed to be illusion-disguised sap). Vegan shrews were created by The Masked One.
