Shenek Language

Shenek is the language of the Northern Samvaran plains, descended from shepherds and migratory hunters who moved across the continent in ancient days. While the Shirpatran languages have branched off into their own mutually intelligible language group, Shenek is closer to the old speech.    Once, Shenek was the trading language of Central, South, North, and East Samvara. Horse nomads, conquerors, and merchants all used it as a sign of wealth and worldliness, and Shenek names were seeded into many foreign regions. Now, it is confined to the heartlands of Areto, though its names continue to be used across Northern Samvara.
