Loanuan Language

Loanuan is the native language of the island of Loanua. The tribes and kingdoms descended from the island's original inhabitants speak Loanuan exclusively, and many in the countryside of the conquered and colonized Eastern and Northern coasts do as well.   Loanuan is very much a language under siege, as newcomers to the island have steadily worked to make mainland languages such as Tolzek or Alazek the dominant trading and administrative languages of the island. Loanuan is too foreign for many of them - it uses its own script, has its own grammar, and shares none of the root languages as continent Garadek languages. It actually shares much more in common structurally with the Selkie Language - a source of great scholarly interest and debate among linguists.    Loanuan is the only acceptable language for any tale or ritual of Weniko, and is expected a a matter of respect from any who wish to do business in the Loanuan interior.

How to Generate Loanuan

Loanuan is generating by mashing together Irish and Maori. While these are linguistically mulched beyond most recognition, you could probably dabble a bit in either (probably leaning more on Maori, given how recognizable Irish names are to an American audience)
