Kalo Orporsblood

Kalo Orporsblood once served Kasmir, the Rot - now he fights the apocalypse with all his might. He is the former king of the Kingdom of Orpora, having lost it with his city of Farwater Reef  during the Orporan Civil War. 
Kalo is a reasonable but ruthless Octoperson, raised in the bloodthirsty royal court of the Kingdom of Orpora. He had to kill and eat his siblings to survive - such is the way of that kingdom. He helped lead the military once but took the throne of Orpora after his older sister, Queen Ungala Orporsblood, died fighting the Rot's pet Leviathan.
For months Kalo despaired. The Rot whispered to him and convinced him to serve it to spare some of his people (or at least reduce their pain). Makar Mesaba eventually infiltrated his city, Farwater Reef, and convinced Kalo that if Makar could kill the Plague Warlocks that the Rot could be defeated. 
Kalo's loyal army was critical in slaying the Plague Engine of Farwater Reef and carrying the day. This battle exhausted and depleted his forces, leaving him vulnerable to attack by his sister Mora Orporsblood. Mora became Queen and Kalo was exiled with his brother Orben Orporsblood.
Kalo set off with Orben to help fight the apocalypse at Vikasha. Little is known of his present status.
