High Sunekan

One language, one culture, one religion, one harmony. This is the way of the Suneka  High Sunekan is that one prescribed language. Its syllables ring with pure harmony; its grammar moves with perfect order; its pronunciation fits the mouths of every species equally, as it is spoken from the soul before it reaches the mouth. That is the official priestly line, anyways.    High Sunekan is legally the only language allowed in most Sunekan lands. The countryside often warps it into their own dialects or mixes it with their own languages, but in the urban centers it is strictly uniform. The sacred assembly occasionally accepts new slang or bans 'dangerous slang', but for the most part the language develops extremely slowly and in perfect unison across the continent.    Beyond the Sunekan republics, High Sunekan is a trade language in Stildane and (to a limited extent) Inahng. Sunekan is also the language of academics worldwide - the majority of the world's wizarding guides and textbooks are printed in High Sunekan, as are guides on siege engineering. The Darzan University has played a major role in this, but the mass production of printed texts in Suneka has contributed.
