Located half a league, directly beneath Lichfield Customs. The Boneyard Welcome Center helps new migrants to Lichfield get established with employment and lodging.
Externment Programs
The Boneyard provides externship, un-retirement and undead workforce rehabilitation programs. Self-animating individuals, animated skeletal objects, and those with short, easy to remember names are generally given top preference. Families are encouraged, particularly when they share a common last name. Interestingly, a demonstrably high number of successful externs bear common surnames such as "Smith" and "Johnson.
The practice of exhuming and reanimating individuals for unpaid, open-ended service is commonly referred to as "externment." Generally, necromancers view externment as a practical necessity and reward for merit, while critics regard it as an exploitative labor practice.
