Taken altogether, Tucker and Rupert constitute an around-the-clock pair of "sleeper" agents for the University of Dysania — true in potentially multiple senses. Rupert uses his custodian role to secretly guard the Expurgefactor from theft. Rupert and Tucker communicate through written notes.
