DawnChant

This magical crystalline spear was grown in the crystal cores of Sissor by the lizard folk god Essyliss to aid in the battles in the Great Demon War. The hero Semuanyu was the first to carry it. When Semuanyu disappeared, the spear disappeared with him.   At the center of the spearhead, barely seen through the translucent crystals, is a dark shape. It looks like a black bead that writhes and periodically sends out dark tendrils through the crystal matrix, only to be stopped and pushed back. This is Asmodeus' annihilation sphere that he tried to destroy Essyliss with. Instead, Essyliss captured the sphere with his crystal matrix and locked it within the spear. Asmodeus desperately wants his sphere back.   DawnChant is a +1 magical spear that deals 3d6 piercing damage.   DawnChant responds to the Songs of Ordering.
  • Song of Morning (aka, the Dawn Chant): as a bonus action, one can sing the Song of Morning to empower the spear for a minute, causing it to respond like a spiritual weapon as per the spell.
  • Song of Rest: as a bonus action, one can sing the Song of Rest to cast the spell Spare the Dying.
If DawnChant stays in one place for too long, it will attract devils and demons. Most will not realize why they are drawn to the area, not knowing that the sphere inside the spear wants to return to Asmodeus as much as he wants it back. Only high level minions of Asmodeus knows what it is and why they are called to it.
