Government

The Iron City is the capital of Rewen and houses the kingdom's central government. But to keep the city running, Eisenstadt has its own local government as well. The city is divided into twelve boroughs which have their own smaller neighborhoods and districts. Each borough is run by a Borough Council which is led by a Burgermeister. These Burgermeisters not only run the individual boroughs, but sit on an executive council known as the Senate of Eisenstadt. Two of these Burgermeisters have the title of Meister, who serve as deputies to the Governing Mayor, who is overseer and ruler of the city. Members of the Borough Council are elected by members of the community, and vote for a Burgermeister out of the current members. The Governing Mayor is chosen by the king out of the 12 Burgermeisters. The legislative body of Eisenstadt is its House of Representatives. This governing body is made up of 144 members elected by the people from their boroughs. There are 12 seats for each of the 12 boroughs.

Defences

Eisenstadt doesn't have any walls to surround and defend it. This is opposed to other cities in the Palatinate and on the Continent that still retain their walls from the days of the Thaloran Empire. Instead, Eisenstadt has three star forts that surround the city's perimeter. These forts are Eisenturm, Stahlhofen, and Adlerfort. These three fortresses house the city's defending soldiers and carry a number of defenses such as reinforced walls, batteries with canon, and outcrops for war mages. If the city is under attack, the war mages gather to create a magical barrier that connects the three forts together. In order to get past these barriers, an army would have to take one of the forts, or kill the magicians holding up the barrier.
