The Crystaline Islands
The Crystaline Islands sit on the north eastern corner of Gromlin, off the shores of Phoviel. They are known for their beautiful vistas, crystal clear waters, lush vegetation, and dangerous wild life.
Geography
An archipelago that dots the Sapphire Currents. The islands are tropical with active volcanos scattered on the larger islands.
Climate
The Islands are tropical islands with a humid environment. During the rainy seasons they islands will suffer small floods or the tropical storm or hurricane.
Fauna & Flora
All of the islands are home to dangerous plant life, from plants with venom tips thorns, to full man eater flowers.
Tigers, panthers and other large feline species stalk the jungles.
Some islands have dinosaurs roaming the jungles and the waters.
Many of the reefs around the islands are home to dangerous breeds of sharks and the deeper waters have their giant varieties..
Merrow are spotted in the waters around the islands.
Sea dragons are rumored to attack ships that sail among the islands; the great dragon turtle Aethric Shellwyrm will attack or ransom ships periodically
Merfolk communities have been spotted near some of the coral reefs
Natural Resources
The Islands have an abundant of fruits and plants used in medicine.
History
Phoveil in general doesn't have a strong tradition of keeping historical records in general, and the Islands is even worse at this. Each of the Islands submit to the queen's authority, however each islands values its own independence and the the Sovereign of Phoviel has always been slow to depend on the islands or call on them specifically .
On the Isle of Y'nner there is a large population of Yuan-ti, these snake folk submit to the queen but their allegiance is dubious at best. They have their own set of rules and laws on the island and visitors are generally not welcome.
There is a long standing rivalry between the islands that have often led to small armed conflicts that the Sovereign of Phoviel has been required to intervene.
Tourism
The Isle of Y'nner is the large of the islands, and home to a colony of Yuan-ti.
The Isle of Nysthaes is home to several communities of lizardfolk and frogfolk.
The smaller islands all host small communities of a variety of beast folk.
