Chapel of Ulaa
This tiny, cottage-like building, with its straw-thatched roof and open-air windows, serves as the humble house of worship for Ulaa, the bright goddess of mountains, hills, and the gemstones hidden within them.
Located near the woody periphery of the Old Well, its placement is no accident—while Ulaa's devotions are best performed in the untamed wild, this shrine offers a sacred space for her followers trapped within city life.
Godsday Devotions:
Each Godsday, followers of Ulaa gather three times—morning, afternoon, and evening—beside the Old Well for sacred rites, including:
- Hours of meditation and reflection
- Hymns and chants, accompanied by rhythmic drumming
- Priests striking an assortment of boulders, producing a deep, resonant sound that fills the air
While the chapel itself holds little of value, the faith of Ulaa’s order is deeply rooted in the stones. Twelve sacred gemstones, each worth (1d6 + 12) × 100 gp, are magically buried within the drumming boulders surrounding the well—one per stone.
Guldan Rockflint, Matriarch of Ulaa
The shrine is overseen by Guldan Rockflint, a wise and steadfast matriarch of Ulaa’s faith. A stalwart defender of her goddess's teachings, she ensures that the stones sing with devotion, the prayers remain strong, and the faithful remember the power of the earth beneath their feet.
