Caravan Warehouse
One of the largest and busiest buildings in the city, the Caravan Warehouse is the beating heart of overland trade, owned and operated by the Merchants’ and Traders’ Guild.
It serves as the primary hub for caravans arriving in and departing from the city, with its vast interior storing goods from the latest shipments, as well as 20 to 30 freight wagons and nearly 100 draft horses at any given time.
A designated loading and unloading area ensures smooth operations, but merchants from outside the guild must pay a steep 5–10% fee to use the warehouse’s secure facilities—well worth the price considering the alternative: exposure to the city's rampant thieves. However, the Merchants' Guild has brokered a deal with the Thieves’ Guild , declaring the warehouse off-limits to guild-affiliated criminals. In return, the thieves actively help track down any independent cutpurses foolish enough to steal from this heavily guarded location.
The warehouse is never left unprotected. At all times, four vigilant guards patrol the premises, assisted by a pack of eight well-trained guard dogs. Between them and the silent watch of the Thieves’ Guild, only the most daring—or foolish—would attempt a heist here.
