Oltec

Oltec is the dividing line between North and South Amerigo, both in its location and its two-sided defenses.

Its territory is a band spreading east to west from coast to coast, making a land travel workaround impossible, and an air travel one risky at best.

Many of its settlements are built right into the hills of the region, with large walkways and bridges connecting them all, making travel a surprisingly easy thing within Oltec territory. Even within sight of the Oltec border is significantly harder to traverse on anything but foot.

Much like how Nihon and Zhongguo are home to many farmers, so is Oltec, who provides a great deal of food to the rest of the world in the form of their Ruby Maize , a staple crop in many places across the solar system.

That being said, they seem quite content to simply supply trade goods to the outside world and show no desire to interact with their neighbors. Going so far as to violently remove anyone that isn't Oltec from their territory.
