The Thalassans once again invade the mountainhomes. The northern part of the central mountains becomes a wasteland, devasted by army infrastructures and magical WMDs. As the Dwarves near collapse, Kolthis intervenes and goes on the offensive for the first time in history to attack the Thalassan heartland.

This time, however, they have paid off the Dark Elves to join them, leaving the Dwarves beset from above and below. The resource sapped by the Dark Elven attacks left the Dwarves weakened and low on options and resources. Both sides collapse caverns to destroy and deny the enemy. By 940 the conflict had gone on long enough for a new generation to emerge and reach fighting age.
