Security Commission

Under the control of Granmont's House Camus is the Security Commission. This organization works closely with the City Watch to handle inspections of people and goods entering and leaving the city. They have the authority to establish checkpoints at the city's bridges and they have cooperated with the Gendarmerie to perform raids on the houses and bases of suspected smugglers.
Their total complement is around forty--twenty four for staffing the city's four checkpoints three shifts a day in pairs, eight are dedicated to the security of Baron Baudelaire, six relief officers for special operations and covering for illness or injury, and two quartermasters.
