Black River

Mixing with pollution from industry in Foundry, the river is turned a murky gray as it curves eastward to divide Camino and Skirts. After passing Brick Bridge it’s met with runoff from Camino’s Sewars. This final stretch before the water is treated at the Confluence Sanitation Center is nearly black from toxins, giving this waterway and that neighborhood the nickname of the Black River; context distiguishes which it’s referring to.
