Banks

The Banks familiy serves the Davenport family respectively the House Davenport as servants in different capacities since the 16th Century. When the Davenports were driven out of England at the end of the 17th century, the Banks followed their masters to the New World.

Structure

Only the main line of the family and one generation removed have direct contact with members of the House Davenport and hold key positions in the Davenport family household.

The head or heads of the Banks family are the Butler and the Housekeeper.

The Butler is usually the eldest son of the former Butler or, if there is no son, the eldest son of the brother of the former Butler.

The Housekeeper is usually not a member of the Banks family and only in rare cases is she not under a Blood Bond to a Kindred of House Davenport.

The remaining family members hold other important positions (valet, lady's maid, first footman, etc.) under the Butler and the Housekeeper, insofar as family members are available. They also "control" the staff who do not belong to the Banks family.

Staff outside the family are rarely initiated into the secrets of the Davenports to the same extent as the Banks (and if they are, only with the recommendation of the Butler and the Housekeeper).

Culture

Loyalty

The Banks are not loyal to the Davenports through blood bonds, fear, violence or the like. They cannot be ghouls because they are extremely allergic to Vitae.

No, the reason the Banks are loyal is because the Davenports take good care of them in return. Family members up to three generations removed can expect a good education and secure jobs.
