Gotham State Penitentiary
Gotham State was the primary prison serving the Gotham region until the construction of Blackgate Penitentiary in the 1980s.
It was formerly closed in 1995, and the building has stood empty ever since.
Although unused, the building cannot be demolished, as it is considered to be of historical importance, as one of the first concrete buildings in the United States.
