Ethoria

Ethoria is a sprawling landscape of green forests, lush fields and home to an illustrious, accredited school of magic (one of only three in all of Alkask). It is the only remaining Kingdom of the old world, and it's ruling family dates back as early as 900 BT. Ethoria (referred to as the Greater Kingdom by Ethorians) hosts several smaller sovereign kingdoms, who's leaders are colloquially referred to as Kings or Queens but politically hold the station of Lord.

The Overking of Ethoria is the reigning monarch that oversees the lesser kingdoms, a position that has been held by the Abramoore family for as long as Ocadia has stood as Ethoria's capital. The ruling family is well advised on all political, economical, military and civilian matters by a diverse council of officials elected by the communities of Ethoria. The council does not include other ruling members the monarchy to provide unbiased counsel, though members of the ruling family may be elected if they do not currently hold a land-owning title.
