Sceyan

The "Sceyan" ethnicity refers specifically to the different groups of humans who make their home in Sceya, their similarities and differences. These groups can be broadly divided into:

• West Sceyans, also called Arins or Imperials
• East Sceyans, the forrest tribes of East Sceya
• Fjellfolket, the mountain tribes of the Giantheights

The West Sceyans originally came from the norther portions of Sceya, and slowly spread south through centuries of war and conflict, which led to the displacement of other tribes to the east. They eventually came to enjoy the support of The Gold Empire, with which they conquered the rest of Sceya and became its hegemon.
The rest of the sceyan peoples, especially Fjellfolket, fled the West Sceyans, while those of the other tribes in the West were assimilated into the West Sceyan group. Both the East Sceyans and Fjellfolket have deep respect for elemental spirits.
