Seraphim (seh-ruh-fim)
Within the Church there are only 5 who hold the title of Seraphim,
- Rapheal - - Keeper of the Hammer
- Uriel - - Keeper of the Book
- Geila - - Keeper of the Eye
- Ramellia - Keeper of the Word
- Raziel (Haemir Manix) - Keeper of the Secret
Appointment
All Seraphim are appointed by the Divine Pontiff themselves in a private ritual. A new Seraphim is theoretically appointed very soon after the loss of the predecessor in order to maintain their vows and responsibilities.
Duties
Each Seraphim has a specific duty tied into their role, as "keepers" their main duty is to safeguard and hold an aspect of the church. For example the Keeper of the Hammer is responisble for guarding the house of the Dawn God and the artifacts of the Church; The Keeper of the Book has a duty to protect the holy scriptures and the Dawn Codex, Keeper of the Eye has a duty to watch over the flock, be it the followers or the nonbelievers. Whereas the Keeper of the Word has a duty to the clergy and the speakers of the scripture and the Keeper of the Secret has a duty to protect and guard the secrets of the faith.
The Seraphim also have none official duties such as the Keeper of the Word's responsability to watch over the Holy Speaker and such.

Responsibilities
Seraphim are the upper echelon of the faith responsible for manipulating the many moving pieces of the church under the orders of the Divine Pontiff. Usually orders or directives from the Church come from a Seraphim with rewards and punishments being dealt out under the Seraphims authority.
Benefits
Seraphim wield considerable political power especially within Sanctum often treated like nobility despite their ties solely to the Church and not the kingdom.

All the Seraphim wear white robes with gold embellishments often designed to look like feathers or wings.
